Good job on actually implementing an ecosystem, like farming and animals eating each other. I like the nonsensical printing . I notice that some of the pixel art is a little fuzzy. There is a setting to fix it in Godot, I think it's by setting default texture filter to "nearest". Also, the game choosing what tile was selected made it kind of difficult to plant and water crops.
Ohh I'll check out the texture filter settings, thank you!
The tile system was my intention as a throwback to older farming games, but I wasn't sure if I also want the player to be bound by the tiles. Maybe that's why the alignment is weird and it's difficult to navigate.
I love tile systems, but I just mean that it would be nice if the blue box snaps to the grid where the players mouse is instead of being chosen by player direction.
Very good game, but i didn't like the tile based system(it was a little hard to pick up items and fight the wolves).
Thank you for playing!
Yeah I'm starting to think the player should be bound by the tiles as well so that alignment is easier
You accomplished a lot in these 7 days! I hope this critique helps you in the future! I did have a problem not understanding interact vs use item, or how to win either mode. Also, it was a bit frustrating trying to navigate and use items, mostly because of combat because its challenging to move and aim your mouse on in-game UI at the same time instead of just being able to press a button, even if that button is decided for me, I would have preferred a keyboard press instead of UI.
All good points, I'll keep them in mind!
Interact vs Use item is understandable, the game initially only has use item and interact was added today xD
The game also started with keyboard controls, and its actually still there! VJoystick was also added today because I didn't think ahead on the fact that people might want to try it on phone.
Thank you for playing 😊😊
Oh so there was a use sword button? I guess I missed it
